Scotland Korfball are pleased to announce the extension of Colin Martin’s contract as Head Coach of the senior Scottish National Team. Colin will take charge of the next tournament cycle which includes the European “B” Championships in 2020 and the 16-team European Championships in 2022. The goal to qualify for the next World Championships.

Colin has an extensive track record of success. Winning seven English Korfball League titles with Mitcham and having coached internationally at both junior and senior levels. During the 2019 Stadskanaal International Tournament he coached the National Squad to an impressive 5th place finish with only one loss, supporting the development of new and experienced players while also building an excellent team environment.

The Executive Committee at Scotland Korfball feel that Colin has demonstrated real enthusiasm for not only the national side, but also for the further development of korfball in Scotland and consequently there is no one better qualified to push the national side to the next level.

Scotland Korfball will be running two open trial weekends in April and May 2020 with a squad to be selected for October’s European “B” Championships in Wroclaw. We are also looking to recruit an Assistant Coach from within the Scottish Korfball League.

Details of both will follow, and you can register initial interest by contacting internationals@scotlandkorfball.co.uk with any queries.
