Over the past few months Edinburgh University Korfball Club student coaches have been running taster sessions for primary schools in the Edinburgh area.
In the past year it is estimated that around seven-hundred and fifty children between the ages of eight and twelve have tried korfball.
On September 23 the newly established Craigour Park Primary School after-school club will train for the first time. The club is scheduled to run until at least December 2 this year, with scope for further clubs to be set up throughout the city in the new year.
A SKA working group is putting together a long-term strategy for the development of kids’ korfball in Scotland, the details of which will be announced over the next six months.
