National Team Draft

Us at the SKA are excited to announce trials to join the National Scottish training squad. Those who go on to be accepted will be awarded a one year training contract, with the intention of further development for the 2022 European Championships and qualification for the World Championships.

There will be two trial weekends:

  • 25-26th April at the Oriam, Edinburgh
  • 16-17th May Glasgow Club Kelvin Hall

Those of you who attend should meet the following criteria:

  • Willing to commit to monthly training sessions between the trials and the IKF European “B” Championships taking place October 5-10th, Wroclaw, Poland.
  • Able to qualify to play for Scotland through birth, parental/grandparental birth in Scotland, or through other routes outlined by the IKF: https://korfball.sport/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/IKF-Competition-Regulations-2019.pdf
  • Currently playing at a high level. In Scotland this includes regular appearances in SKL Division 1. In England this includes the National League, Promo League or the Top Regional League.

Exceptions may be made for U21 players at the coach’s discretion, if you are uncertain if you meet the above criteria feel free to query at the email below.

*There will be a cost of £25 per person per weekend that must be paid to cover hall booking fees.
