The days are counting down until trials are held for vacant spaces in the Scotland National Team, as well as the newly established Development Squad.  To be held on July 22nd (10:00-16:00) and 23rd (09:00-13:00) at Oriam Sports Centre in Edinburgh, the session will be led by Scotland Coach Johan Oosterling and aims to fill 3 male and 3 female spots in the National Team, as well as all 14 spaces in the Development Squad.

The National Team draws talent from all across the UK and beyond, whilst the Development Squad aims to raise the standard of korfball within Scotland by bringing players from different clubs into a high level environment, as well as creating a strong group of players that may feed into the National Team in later seasons.

Places within the National Team are open to anybody born in Scotland, who has a parent/grandparent born in Scotland, or has lived in Scotland for a continuous period of 3 years.  The requirement for the Development Squad is only that players are registered with an SKL club.

To register your interest in attending, email Nick Duxbury at internationals@scotlandkorfball.co.uk with your name and current club. Registration closes on Tuesday 11th July and attending the 10 hour session will cost £25.   A Facebook event for the trials has been set up here.
