John served as SKA Refereeing Officer for the 2017-18 season in which time he achieved the Elite grade qualification and was first nominated for the IKF list. John played a leading role in the restructuring of the SKA refereeing system which included the organization and delivery of a refereeing workshop weekend, facilitating multiple days of theory test exams, and compiling more than 50 practical referee assessments across the season. Since relocating to the Midlands, John has refereed in the English Korfball National League for the past two years as well as gaining experience elsewhere in Europe. He has remained committed developing refereeing in Scotland, running two virtual training sessions in 2020.

Daniel has over fifteen years’ experience as a referee, starting his journey in England refereeing local league and youth competition. He refereed BUCS Nationals and a National League game before moving to the Netherlands in 2011 where he officiated recreational league and junior B-level fixtures. Upon his return to the UK Daniel moved to Scotland and qualified as an Elite level referee in the 2017-18 season. Since then he has remained committed as an assessor for Basic and Higher level referees in Scotland and actively engages in domestic referee development. Daniel credits the refereeing influences of Steve Jones, Paul Jeanes and Peter Allan during his early career at Croydon KC and hopes to add refereeing to his experience as a player and coach at international level.
