Scotland Korfball is pleased to announce that a Refereeing Workshop will be held in Edinburgh on 2nd September 2017.  The intensive day, led by Mr Graham Crafter, is open to all SKL members and will be located at the Edinburgh Language Centre, 62-66 George Street from 10:00-18:00.  Graham has extensive experience in referee development both with the English Korfball Association and the International Korfball Federation, and naturally we are delighted that he will be coming to share his expertise with Scotland Korfball referees.

The intensive day will consist of a workshop on the rules of korfball followed by a theory exam.  This will give all participants the opportunity to become theory qualified at the event, an essential criteria for progressing onto further refereeing qualifications.  Following a lunch break, Graham will then lead a Refereeing clinic evaluating the more advanced skills required by a referee such as positioning, handling excessive contact, and player misconduct.

The day will not only be of use to those wishing to progress their refereeing skills but also to anyone wanting to further their knowledge and understanding of the game.  It is an opportunity not to be missed.

The cost of the full day is £20 per person.  To register your interest please contact refereeing@scotlandkorfball.co.uk by no later than the 31st August 2017 to confirm your attendance.
