The 2016-17 Scottish Korfball League kicked off in style last Sunday with three exciting Division 1 matches taking place. Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall Sports Centre played host to Glasgow 1, Northern Storm and Saint Andrews University 1.

Both Glasgow and Northern Storm split the available points, coming away with a win and a draw. This means Northern Storm currently top the league table on goal difference, with Edinburgh Mavericks 2, Saint Andrews 1 and current league champions Edinburgh City 1 looking to change that with their upcoming fixtures.

Division 2 gets started on Sunday 2nd October with squads from Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow making their  2016-17 debut appearances alongside brand new Strathclyde University Korfball Club.
