Best Experience playing for Scotland?
My best experience playing for Scotland would have to be the very first win which was against the England U19’s in the Home Nations. The Home Nations Tournament as a whole was a great experience, like scoring my first goal, but getting a first win as a team was a great feeling!
How long have you played korfball?
This is my first competitive season but I started playing korfball for fun at the University of Bedfordshire 2 years ago!
First memory of playing korfball?
Very first memory was playing in Cardiff in the Club Championships against UEA and remembering everyone watching our game. There was a great buzz as the new guys and letting everyone know we were there to win!
What are your hopes for yourself and Scotland in the future?
My hope is that we reach the World Championships and succeed to the best of our abilities! With the team that we have assembled, this goal is more than achievable and to really push for any competition we enter!
What would you say to encourage someone to play korfball?
Give it a go! It is an incredibly social sport at the university level and also can be a great second sport. It allows you to make new friends, develop new skills and also improves fitness and basic skills if looking for a second sport to keep active!
Do you play any other sports?
I play basketball along side korfball! It was my main sport since the age of 12, competing at National League level in Scotland and also university leagues and local leagues in England.
Favourite place to visit?
Living outside of Scotland, I would have to say home is always my favourite place to visit; Aberdeen. The countryside, the people, my family, nothing beats it!
Favourite Film/TV series?
Favourite film has to be ‘The Blind Side’! Great movie involving sport as well as the message of don’t let any limitation slow you down or stop you from your dream!
